Oak Art Car Racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Here is a race car out of the ordinary by artist Fernando Costa purpose of commemorate 90 years of famous Le Mans 24 Hours.
Mr. Costa is a world-renowned sculptor and a passion for motor racing, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
A superb achievement which eventually became the Art Car official 90th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It was unveiled last Sunday in the Journées tests in anticipation of Le Mans races to be held on 22 and 23 June 2013.
• A unique work in the world conceived around the frame of a Morgan LMP2, which need:
600 hours of hard work;
250 kilos of enamelled plates;
120 pounds of sheet metal.
The Art Cars phenomenon emerged in 1975, when the french driver Herve Poulin has asked a close friend, Alexander Calder, to draw a BMW 3.0 CSL whole motley, when holding the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
