Jaguar Speedboat Concept: winning combination
After prestigious car brands Audi, Ferrari, Porsche and others who have lent their name to the development of a luxury yacht, here it is the turn of Jaguar to imagine a car which includes advertising and big yacht luxury.
Here it is not the production of a vessel carrying the Jaguar emblem, but rather a marketing approach idealized by chief designer Ian Callum, demonstrating the complicity between the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake and Lifestyle approach to the target audience, by this model break type of hunting.
To do this, Jaguar has partnered with Seventy Seven Design and Ivan Erdevicki Naval Architecture & Yacht Design.
Speedboat design makes reference to some classical models of the British brand, the Jaguar D Type conceived for racing, which was produced between the years 1954 and 1957.
The Speedboat possesses:
a cover glass fiber;
a natural teak deck;
inspired a fin that of the Jaguar D-Type;
a helix made of polished aluminum;
plugs tank footprints to those of the Jaguar XJ;
cabin red recalling some sports cars Jaguar.
In the end, it is a study of style that should not give life to a yacht bearing the signature Jaguar.
