Nissan will compete with Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ

In 1970, Datsun had caused quite a stir with the launch of its 240Z cut. A sport coupe with superb lines who thought he was a Jaguar XKE offered a derisory price.

A cut two-seater propulsion engine six-cylinder 2.4 liter developing 151 hp power.

At the time, the Datsun name was used almost exclusively on North American markets for designer of vehicles sold around the world under the Nissan brand. In Japan, the 240Z was called Nissan FairladyZ.

Toyota and Subaru rewrite history

Today is the turn of Japanese manufacturers Toyota and Subaru to revive the glorious era of the Datsun 240Z.

Depending on the steps, their precious cuts sport compact template are named: Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT-86.

These beautiful models sporting the very attractive lines and sold at prices more than reasonable. Like the 240Z of 70 years, these are cars propulsion.

The replica of Nissan

Nissan does not intend to sit idly facing the arrival of these new cuts, because in turn provides for manufacturing a sport coupe, the template would be a little more compact.

We talk about dimensions that would very close to those of cutting Honda CR-Z, but with atmospheric engine.

Unlike models of Subaru and Toyota, Nissan breaker would be a FWD car and not drive.

Already considered as a Mini-Z, it would be powered by a four-cylinder turbo engine whose power would be around 200 horses.

A harbinger of a conceptual model of cutting series has come, should normally be unveiled in 2013, when holding a car show importance.
