Scion selects three teams that will compete in Tuner Challenge brand

Three teams compete for a whole year in 11 tests performance with Scion FR-S 2013 on the occasion of the second Scion Tuner Challenge

Scion has announced the selection of three teams that will compete in the FR-S version of the Scion Tuner Challenge, in which participants express the whole extent of their talents during the coming year.

Each team has received the sum of $ 15,000 in cash and a Scion FR-S 2013 brand new - a small sports car agile, slight and elegant Scion offers driving pleasure in the pure state. During the coming year, they demonstrate their talents and resources to customize their sports car preparation harsh tests ahead.

On August 26, the teams will participate in the first of the 11 tests, an autocross Toronto. The second ordeal - driving skills - take place on 2 September Montreal. Two other tests will be held in Alberta in October, and the remaining tests will be held in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto, between January and August 2013.

The winner of each race will receive $ 500. In addition, points will be awarded based on the performance of teams in each event. Team totaling the highest number of points at the end of the 11 tests will be declared champion and win his car.

The three teams selected for the Tuner Challenge are:

Top Tuner (Ontario) - With eight people and directed by Edmund Manasan, Team Top Tuner is a program developed by Elite Tuners of Canada (ETC) Winner Enterprises Inc. has nine times the price SEMA Design, Top Tuner represents the first collaborative program at the scale of the industry in the segment of the automobile after-sales service. VCMC (British Columbia) - The motto of the team leader Richard Basford and his three teammates is "precision, finesse and mastery. Swag Racing (Quebec) - This team of 11 people is directed by Danny "Babu" Bernier, a radio and television who possesses a long experience in racing. Inspired by the motto "The best with an attitude", the team is considering its FR-S with an outer specially modified for racing, using aerodynamic sets not only for the aesthetic appearance but also for better aerodynamics support. The interior is completely stripped and only contain items of race, while the "Babu" final touch is found generally in the details, including the Personalized design wheels, the interior and bodywork.
