Hyundai crossed the bar five million vehicles sold in Europe

Hyundai took a major step in its history with the sale of the five millionth vehicle in Europe for importing the first Hyundai Pony in 1977.

Since that time, sales of the brand have increased steadily before recording a significant increase that has allowed Hyundai to elapse no less than one million vehicles in just three years.

During the period 27-month period up to March 2011, the sales performance of the brand surpasses the general trend of the European market.

Hyundai had to wait until 1996 to pass the one million units sold in Europe, before selling its two millionth vehicle in 2001. With a growing fame among European customers and a distribution network to geographical coverage increasingly large, the brand has surpassed the three million units sold in 2005 and that of the four million in 2008.
