The 2009 Honda Pilot gets ratings the highest possible safety

Honda is number one in the industry with all its trucks to safety ratings HIGHEST            

The all-new sport utility vehicle 2009 Honda Pilot has received the prize "SAFETY 1ST CHOICE" award from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) United States and the best safety rating (five stars) for frontal and lateral collisions awarded by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) of the United States. The highest rating from the NHTSA safety and the prestigious "GOOD" (highest possible rating) AWARDED after the frontal collision angle, the lateral impact tests and rear collision tests conducted by the IIHS show that Honda is number in a matter of technology security and protection of all passengers.            

"Honda is proud to have received these prestigious safety ratings," stated Jerry Chenkin, executive vice president of Honda Canada Inc. "Honda is the only automaker to have received the highest possible rating for frontal and lateral collisions all its trucks, which reflects our position as a leader in the industry and our commitment to safety for our customers. "            

All new Honda vans (five vehicles in total) from the 2007 model year have received the five-star safety rating for frontal and lateral collisions. The full range of Honda vans have received the five-star safety rating for collision models include Pilot 2009 Honda CR-V 2008 Honda Element 2008 Honda Odyssey 2008 Honda Ridgeline 2008 built in Canada.            

Honda is the only manufacturer offering a full range of vehicles to be awarded the highest rating possible for the security front and lateral for all trucks of its range collisions. All 2009 Pilot SUV are equipped with body structure Advanced (TM) (ACE (TM)) designed to better protect occupants in frontal collisions between vehicles of different sizes and weights.            

The safety equipment of series 2009 Pilot include assistance to stability (VSA (R)), commonly known as "electronic control system of stability" with traction control and antilock brakes, side curtain airbags three rows with rollover sensors , front airbags and two-phase two-stage reaction, a lateral front airbag for the driver and front lateral airbag for the passenger acquires the innovative system of detection of the position of the occupant of Honda.
