2017 Nissan Pathfinder drops camo to show facelift

Nissan has a refreshed Pathfinder on the way likely for the 2017 model year, and these new spy shots provide the best look yet at the upgrades, especially at its facelifted nose.

We last saw the updated Pathfinder testing in late October, but that one still had a lot of camouflage up front. The latest photos reveal three bars running across the V-shaped grille, evoking the recently refreshed Altima. Nissan also redesigned the headlights to be more angular. Further down, the company has sculpted the corners of the lower bumper to create some visually interesting niches for the foglights. The side mirrors look sharper and more aerodynamic, too.

The changes at the rear are harder to discern. Several of the photos hint at new taillights, and the shape of the fenders looks flatter along the sides than the current Pathfinder. The rear bumper also appears slightly longer to bring it closer to the road.

These shots don't provide any hints at the interior, but the Pathfinder probably gets small aesthetic improvements and upgraded driver assistance tech like Nissan's other refreshes as of late. There are no rumors of significant powertrain changes, but it shouldn't be too long before we get to see the CUV without all of the camo.
