An explosion at a Magna plant is five injured

Five people are hospitalized after an explosion and fire in an automobile factory conglomerate Magna (TSX: MG) has Newmarket, north of Toronto.

Firefighters York Region were called to the scene at about 10 am Wednesday. The explosion occurred at the plant of Dortec Industries, a subsidiary of Magna International.

Magna has said that the accident was produced along a production line and five employees had been transported to the hospital for evaluation. None of them suffered serious injury.

The plant was evacuated its remaining 200 employees, who can not return to the scene as the investigation is not finished.

The Ministry of Labour and the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal of Ontario will participate in this survey.
