Suzuki recalls 10,000 cars in Canada
Suzuki Canada announces recall of just over 10,000 cars with daytime running lights are defective.
The recall affects mainly models:
- Suzuki Swift +: models 2004, 2007;
- Suzuki Verona models 2004 2006.
Transport Canada data
On some vehicles, the DRL module could default, causing at least one of the following problems: the intensity DRL might vary, but the lights remain lit; indicator light day in the dashboard could blink; daytime running lights could remain kindles once the motor vehicle extinguished; daytime running lights may stop working and the indicator light day in the dashboard would die.
Loss of daytime running lights could make the vehicle less visible to other motorists and pedestrians during the day, which could cause an accident causing property damage or personal injury.
Correction: If the above problem exists, dealers will replace the DRL module for vehicles 10 years or 240 000 km or less, commencing from the date of initial registration of the vehicle.
