The fully electric Nissan Leaf offered as grand prize "Trees Have a Heart"
As a proud sponsor of the second National Day of the tree, Nissan Canada provides the Nissan LEAF SL 2012 as the grand prize of a new contest in which the organization Tree Canada is asking Canadians to "have trees ac heart. " Of today, to mark the National Day of the tree, Canadians are invited to submit an image of their favorite on the site journeenationaledelarbre.ca tree, and explain in 50 words or less what makes this tree is so special in their eyes. The Grand Prize winner will be selected by a draw 2 October 2012.
National Day of the tree, organized by Tree Canada, takes place Wednesday, September 26. This is an opportunity to encourage Canadians to become aware that to protect trees and to plant improved their quality of life. The official launch of the festivities held in the framework of the National Day of the tree will take place on September 25 at Andrew Haydon Park in Ottawa. Nissan will be on hand to participate in the ceremony, which will include a host of fun activities and games, tree planting, speeches and test drives of the Nissan LEAF. The celebrations will continue the next day when Canadians take part in the various activities of planting trees that take place in their neighborhoods, even in the cities and forests across the country.

The Nissan LEAF, which has no exhaust pipe and produces absolutely no emissions, is the winner of an ecoENERGY for Vehicles Awards 2012. It is the first of four full electric vehicles produced by Nissan and is part Nissan's commitment to become the leader in the advent of a sustainable society that generates low carbon emissions.
