McLaren 12C Can-Am Edition: Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach
A triumphal entry into North America for the McLaren 12C Can-Am Edition, this week, as part of keeping the elegance of Pebble Beach Concours.
British sports car uses the Can-Am championship in memory of the American era which saw the number of cars McLaren unhook the position of head. It is also a way to honor the drivers Bruce McLaren, Denny Hulme and Peter Revson who won victories at the wheel of a McLaren.
McLaren 12C Can-Am Edition
This stunning car has been developed on the basis of a McLaren 12C GT3 conceived for racing.
Aesthetically, it receives a body kit comprising:
- an orange body with black decals;
- the wider track;
- less discreet diffuser;
- an extremely efficient wing.
By itself, the wing increases the pressure of the car by 30%.
Thanks to the carbon fiber, the McLaren 12C Can-Am Edition announces allege weight 1200 kg compared to that of the serial model.
Inside, we find Recaro seats of competition with substantial retaining straps, a wheel of F1 and reinforcements of security.
The 3.8-liter V8 engine develops an output of 630 horsepower, 12 more than the model currently available.
