In 1948, we saw the last car brand Jaguar to be powered by a four-cylinder engine in North America.
But things will change soon, as the British manufacturer will produce more environment-friendly engines.
The first model of the brand being offered a more thrifty engine will be the XF sedan.
4 and 6 cylinder engines
Currently, all Jaguar offered in America are powered by a V8 engine or a supercharged V8 that powers vary between 385 and 550 horsepower.
Optionally, the Jaguar XF sedan will be powered by a four-cylinder in line 2.0-liter turbo, which will develop 240 horsepower. We also find this engine under the hood of the Range Rover Evoque seductive.
A sedan, will be added XJ models harboring supercharged V6 engine of 3.0 liters, 340 and 380 horses.
All these new engines will be mated to an automatic transmission has eight reports.
