Six world champions departing the next F1 season!
With the return of Kimi Raikkonen on the railings of departure, the 2012 Formula 1 season will be for the less prestigious quarter since departing pilots will be world champions! A first in the history of the discipline.
Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel has them six represent no less than 14 world titles, or 186 wins, 160 pole positions and 410 podiums.
Most of all age, Michael Schumacher, totals alone has nearly half of its assets, including its 91 wins compared to Alonso (27), Vettel (21), Raikkonen (18) Hamilton (17) and Button (12 ).
In opposition, it was in 1994, after the death of Ayrton Senna and before the brief return of Nigel Mansell that the series has had no world champion in track. A season after which Michael Schumacher clinched the first of his seven titles.
