Toyota Vitz 2012: With us is called Yaris

The Japanese giant Toyota is to present the first pictures official said the 3rd version of its Vitz model, offered the land of the Rising Sun. Almost everywhere around the world this little subcompact called the Yaris.

The new silhouette Vitz will spend slightly rounded lines with very angular shapes that are reminiscent of those of the Nissan Versa, but reduced format.

The interior is completely revised and redesigned to make room, among other things, a new dashboard to the rather original and modern design that appears denude and yet, will finally be able to welcome a worthy CRT screen of the name. A new approach that will manage a navigation system of its own and receive inputs for USB keychains, smart phones and other tech gadgets.

With a wheelbase that earns 50 mm, it goes without saying that people taking up at the back will benefit from more generous outbursts. It speaks even better cargo space.

Under the hood

In Japan, the small Vitz is assigned three engines:

3L 1.0-liter 68 hp

4L 1.3 liter 93 hp

4L 1.5 liter 107 hp

All mates or has a manual gearbox five speeds or for the first time, has a CVT transmission.

The American version of the upcoming Toyota Yaris could be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show next February while the European version would be presented at the Geneva Salon in March.
