Subaru Forester Outdoor 2010: he loves the outdoors!
Subaru Canada announces the release of two new versions in its range of popular models Forester. In fact, there are two groups of well-specific options respectively called 'Outdoor' and 'Sport-tech. The aim sought by the manufacturer with these two additions is to demonstrate or put at a higher level the versatility of its Forester compact SUV.

Subaru Forester: New versions to showcase its dynamic versatility
The new group of options Outdoors enhances the utility of SUVs dimension; Sport-tech Package adds a spirited performance.
TORONTO, May 28 / CNW / - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today announced the arrival of two new models Forester, hath appointed for the summer. Each of the models is designed to enhance the unique versatility of this archetype compact SUV. The Outdoors Group confirms the vocation of the mat while the Forester Sport-tech version adds an array of advanced features that enhance even more driving pleasure.
The outdoor enthusiasts can choose between the Forester 2.5X Outdoor (MSRP of $ 25,995 with manual transmission) and the Forester PZEV group Outdoors (MSRP $ 28,095). For the passionate steering wheel, Subaru also offers the new Version 2.5X Sport-tech (MSRP of $ 28,695 with manual transmission) packed with equipment technology and performance.
"One key to the success of the Forester is its versatility, which is the result of a unique combination of performance automobile and utility functionality," says president and general manager of SCI, Katsuhiro Yokoyama. "Every Forester is both a great driver's car and a mighty utility, these two new versions simply allow owners to better target their own needs and preferences."
The new options Outdoor group includes the characteristics of the models and Forester 2.5X Forester PZEV - both already well equipped as standard equipment - in addition to adding the following items:
- Of aerodynamic crossbars
- A trailer hitch
- A storage tray and a floor mat in the compartment
load
- A retractable cargo cover
- A step pad at rear bumper
The new Sport-tech version is equipped for its share of the same characteristics as the Forester Touring Package, plus the following:
- Rims 17 inch type Forester XT
- An audio system and navigation Pioneer AVIC in-dash,
including:
- A removable touchscreen
- 12 million Points of Interest
- A list of Subaru dealers on SD card
- The integration audio iPod / USB with text display
- Bluetooth hands-free system
Power on the road and off the beaten track
The Forester 2.5X models Outdoors, Outdoors and group PZEV 2.5X Sport-tech are powered by a powerful atmospheric SUBARU BOXER engine 2.5 liter 4 cylinder SOHC, which includes a 170 horsepower 6000 rev / min and 170 lb-ft of torque at 4 400 rev / min. The intelligent system of variable valve timing (AVL) provides a wide range of torque and effective response to all regimes, in addition to contributing to the reduction in emissions.
The Forester 2.5X Outdoor and Sport-tech comes standard with a manual transmission has five reports. The automatic electronic control box has four reports (4EAT SS) - Optimized to provide better shifting and maximize energy efficiency - is available on both models, and crew of the series PZEV group Outdoors. The automatic transmission also benefited the SportShift feature allows the driver to shift gears manually when desired. The SportShift technology offers three modes of shifting, namely Normal, Sport and Manual, each being accompanied by its own parameters of shifting and locking torque converter.
