Kia Sorento 2010 assembled in the USA
November 16 is out of the assembly lines, the first Sorento vehicle of model year 2010.
Here, we speak of a factory situated in the United States in West Point, Georgia. An ultra modern edifice which need investment of nearly one billion U.S. dollars wholesale.
The 'Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia' (KMMG), when fully operational, will be joining up 300,000 vehicles annually. Which will have 2,500 people to find direct employment and 7,500 others to enjoy the economic benefits of the arrival of Kia in this area.
It is obvious that with such investments, the Kia Sorento will not remain long, the only vehicle assembled in KMMG.

Compared to the current model that has the makings of a hardcore SUV, the new version looks rather like a crossover vehicle type intermediate category which can even accommodate seven passengers.
The different engines to be used, we will be unveiled very soon. But in all likelihood, it should inherit four-cylinder engine of 2.4 liters, the power is around 175 horsepower, which is currently used on the model and Rondo will likely second by the 3.8 V6 that develops 276 horsepower, underhood Borrego the model. We talk even the new Sorento would eventually propelled by a new hybrid engine.
