Gumpert is about to turn the page
The small independent manufacturer of exceptional cars approach increasingly, bankruptcy almost inevitable.
Gumpert is a German manufacturer which was founded in 2001 directed by Roland Gumpert, a former president of the Audi Sport division.
After looking for new investors is unsuccessful, there is every reason to believe that the German will eventually go bankrupt.
Gumpert Apollo
Since 2006, Gumpert assembled by hand an ultra lightweight racing car that weighs only 1,200 pounds. His name is Apollo, and it is powered by a V8 biturbo a central longitudinal position rear engine.
Powered by Audi, the cylinder is 4.2 liters and an output of 650 horsepower with a torque of 627 lb-ft. All mates has a sequential six-speed gearbox.
The cutting Gumpert Apollo propulsion takes only 3.1 seconds to 100 km / h. An amazing fireball which sells for around $ 500,000.
At the last International Motor Show in Geneva, Gumpert Apollo submitted its model S developping a force of 800 horses.
