Builders reduce prices for rental cars electric
Automakers reduce the rental price of electric vehicles in an attempt to take off their sales, experiencing a slow departure in a competitive market.
Honda announced Thursday that it would reduce the third monthly rental price of its small Fit EV to pass a U.S. $ 259 per month. The Japanese automaker also add other elements to its offering as a domestic terminal free loading and unlimited mileage.
The price drop Honda, valid leases of three years, will be in effect from June 1. Honda also indicates that prices would be adjusted on existing leases.
Honda's decision comes as an increasing number of manufacturers make their entrance on the American market for electric vehicles. But relatively low gas prices and worries about the failures of electrical energy during long journeys more limited sales until now.
General Electric and Nissan are among the other manufacturers that have recently offered lower rental rates on their electric cars.
