Soon, a driver in Formula 1 GT Academy?

Earlier this week, Red Bull has confirmed the addition of Jann Mardenborough in its research program for new talents in motorsport. The young British 22 year old began his career by winning the GT Academy in 2011 and has since raced in Formula 3 and LMP.

Career of Mardenborough is atypical, since two years ago, he had no experience in racing. He was playing Gran Turismo on the PlayStation 3, and it is registered to the GT Academy. This competition, organized by Sony and developed in partnership with Nissan, offers players of Gran Turismo chance to translate their experience of video game on a real race track, driving race cars Nissan. The best among all participants deserves the grand prize: a spot on Team International Race Nissan, and all the training and the necessary funding to participate in a race season in GT3! 

Jann Mardenborough therefore begin its 2014 season in the stable Arden, which is sponsored by Red Bull. If the results are encouraging, its chances of passing in Formula 1 are good, as the champion of last season, which represented also the stable Arden, was Kvyat. Daniil participate this year at its first race in Formula 1, driving one of the cars of Torro Rosso. Jann on this occasion become the first driver in the GT Academy race in Formula 1.
