Ford Canada remains the No. 1 automaker in Canada
Ford of Canada Limited still holds the first place in the Canadian market for sales in August and for the year to date. Mustang and Ford Escape and Edge built in Canada, have all achieved strong sales, with increases of 12 percent, 13 percent and 3 percent.
Sales Highlights in August:
Ford Canada first in August and for the year to date
Overall truck sales were up 8%
Ford Mustang sales have increased by 12%
Ford Escape sales were up 13%
Ford Edge sales were up 3%
Ford Explorer sales are up 22%
Sales of Ford F Series have increased by 26%
According to Dianne Craig, chairwoman and CEO of Ford Canada, "Canadian industry still shows strong growth, Ford and we are seeing more and more customers in our showrooms. The Escape was the best-selling MUV in Canada for eight years already, and the new model now in showrooms will help to preserve the momentum. "
The bounding sales Serie F stems mainly from F-150, which shows an increase of 30 percent. Also in August, sales of MPVs and SUVs Ford have increased 9 percent, thanks in large part to the very popular Explorer, it has shown an increase of 22 percent.
