NAPA 200 Montreal 2012: "Discovery Day"
Octane Management inc., Promoter of the NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge, today confirms the holding of its "Discovery Day" this Thursday, August 16. Motorized sports enthusiasts, as well as families desiring to enjoy a day of vacation the most original, shall be admitted free of charge at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit, starting at 9 am and will experience the atmosphere of a weekend end racing until 18 pm that day. Visitors can travel on a leisure site and freely sit in the stands to watch the spectacle on the track and participate in special activities in the program of this one day.
Five hours of track action: free practice, qualifying and the first race
11 h, or almost forty cars Touring type CTCC take to the track for qualifying session of 30 minutes. At 13 h 20, the Daytona prototypes and sports cars of the series NASCAR Grand-Am Rolex will move into the pits for their first session of free practice. On the stroke of 15 am, novelty this year, runners CTCC will take place on the starting grid for the first race of the weekend. Thereafter, the series NASCAR Rolex Grand-Am return track for new tests, and for one hour after 16 h 50, the audience will see the track racers NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, headed Andrew Ranger and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin. Thirty minutes after the conclusion of the session autograph runners at home, in the same place, visitors can meet the young, beautiful and talented singer and songwriter quebecoise Marilou.
