A team of instructors for Star kartSTART 2013 program
The quebecois karting champion Maxime Pelletier held the key role of Chief Instructor at St-Eustache component of the training program for young drivers supported by Toyota
Innovative training program for young drivers kartSTART - made possible by the support of Toyota Canada - Team announced Star instructors who lead the activities of the edition 2013: Maxime Pelletier, Russ Bond, and Juliana Chiovitti.
The kart driver Montrealers Maxime Pelletier will head instructor in St-Eustache.
"When I knew that this excellent program intended for Canadian youth was coming home to Quebec, I immediately wanted to participate to help the sport that has given me so much," stated Maxime Pelletier, former champion championship class F80 Shifter Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting and is also on the podium at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve deemed as a result of a support race at the Grand Prix of Canada. "What I learned at the wheel of a kart has made me a much safer driver in the life of every day. It's fantastic that Toyota supports this program and I am honored to be a part. "
Juliana Chiovitti is the only woman in North America to have won a championship in F125 Shifter. She has also been a test driver Car Indy Lites series and Toyota Atlantic.
"My family owns a racing circuit since I was young," explained Juliana, who is vice-president of operations kartSTART. "I love teaching and kartSTART gives me the chance to train young people and give back to the sport of karting. "
As for Russ Bond, he has behind him 30 years of experience in karting and racing, including a performance at the Toyota Atlantic Championship 1996 Team Dentsu.
"Never a project I am involved is so passionate that kartSTART," he says. "There is nothing better than seeing the look of a kid who just drive a vehicle alone for the first time. "
kartSTART launches its 2013 national tour in mid-July.
