BMW opened a second plant in China
After the opening in 2010 of its plant Shenyong - or it assembles BMW Serie5 lengthened, specific to the Chinese market - now the Bavarian manufacturer with the complicity of his partner Brilliance, announces the opening of a second factory in the city of Tiexi.
This will allow the manufacturer to quadruple its production capacity in the country of the rising sun, which will increase to 300,000 units in the next year. It assembles models X1 and BMW Serie3 a wheelbase longer. The latter is reserved to local market.
An ultra modern factory which need investments that equivalent to 1.5 billion euros from BMW and its Chinese partner, Brilliance.
Currently, China has become the main market of the German manufacturer.
