Saipa Tiba: first car entirely Iranian

An ultra modern factory

Assembly under license

So far, the Iranian company Saipa (Societe annonyme Iranian Production Automobile) was founded in 1966, and still is, regarded as a licensed builder. That is to say that it is a manufacturer which assembles vehicles from another manufacturer, which are usually offered on emerging markets. Saipa assembles models french manufacturers Citroen, Peugeot and Renault. In the latter, has added South Coreen Kia.

First Iranian car

Beyond the opening of this ultra-modern factory, President Ahmadinejad also took part in the unveiling of the first car entirely Iranian, the Tiba. Which means there Gazelle. This compact sedan category, formerly Miniator will be offered at a price between 80 and 90 million rials ($ 8,000 and $ 9,000 U.S.).
