Volkswagen will acquire Porsche on August 1 next

Although the German giant had acquire the manufacturer Porsche, at the latest in 2014, we learn that the manufacturer powerful cars will officially become the 10th brand of the Volkswagen Group as of 1 August 2012.

Since 2009, Volkswagen holds 49.9% stake in Porsche AG. It remains for him to take possession of the assets of 50.1% Porsche SE.

To do this, Volkswagen will have to pay the amount of EUR 4.46 billion to finalize this agreement. To this is added one common share of Volkswagen.

It is through German laws that both companies could accelerate the acquisition process.

1st of August next, the Volkswagen Group will bring together 10 brands: Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Ducati, Lamborghini, Man, Porsche, Scania, Seat and Skoda.
