Ford Escape 2013: start of production
Unveiled last November at Auto Show in Los Angeles, the 2013 Ford Escape has just passed the final stage of production.
Unlike the previous model which was assembled in the American plant Kansas City, Missouri, the new version is produced in an ultra modern factory situated in Louisville, Kentucky.
Ford had to invest more than $ 600 million in the plant to host the 2013 Escape. A nice gesture that has enabled more than 1,800 people to find a very well paid work.
In the stride of the creation of direct jobs, an estimated 900 other citizens will unhook a job, totaling several million additional revenue in the region.
The 2013 Ford Escape
Unlike the very angular lines of the current Ford Escape, the new generation of compact SUV presents a much more seductive figure with both more fluid and sleek lines.
The interior has been completely redesigned to better make room, among other new technologies of telematics, so dear to Ford. To this are added the most comfortable seats and a bench, better soundproofing, more outbursts and generous cargo space redeveloped.
Ford gives us a choice between two EcoBoost engines 1.6 and 2.0-liter or a 2.5-liter.
