The vice-president of NASCAR Montreal today to confirm the return of the Nationwide Series

It is today at a press conference to be held at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in the presence of Vice President Steve O'Donnell of NASCAR, the American organization will officially announce his return to Montreal in 2012. The future-proof Montreal at this time is not guaranteed for 2012 (planned event on 17 and 18 August), always with the Nationwide series featured. But it is clear that NASCAR does not usually work with a promoter in the short term, we can therefore expect that the event continues its annual presence at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve beyond next season.

As to evoke the potential arrival of the famous Sprint Cup one day Montreal, it is too early yet but it would be wrong to say that this is a project that is not working at the present time.
