The Dakar continues, the Trophee Andros takes
It is in South America and Europe that will focus the poles of interest for passionate motorsport this weekend.
Very indecisive during the first week of competition, the Rally-Raid Dakar spend the weekend on the roads of Chile, with chronometers course at the foot of the Cordillera of the Andes. If today's stage is neutralized (the weather being too bad in the Cordillera of the Andes, competitors compete the course in conjunction) of tomorrow tracee around the city of Copiapo could be decisive for the classification General of the ordeal, at this time dominated by the Mini All-4.
The day Sunday will be the only rest during the two weeks of competition. It will be welcome after all relatively easy routes in Argentina earlier this week, and much more tricky at the entrance to Chile.
Much further east and in radically different climatic conditions, the Trophee Andros resumed its activities this weekend after a two-week break for the holidays year-end. The races will take place on the ice track of Isola 2000, a ski resort near winter sports of Nice, in the south of France.
Alain Prost, his astonishing Daccia, try to maintain its leadership in the standings, opposite Jean-Philippe Dayraut (Mini) and Olivier Panis (Skoda). Teammate latter at Skoda, Jacques Villeneuve occupies the eleventh row at this time.
