The Dakar ends; NASCAR cars take the track
Marked by the struggle between Stephane Peterhansel (Mini) and Robby Gordon (Hummer), 2012 edition of the Dakar Rally-Raid ends this weekend while crews SURVIVORS join the capital of Peru, Lima, at the end of a journey of over 8,000 kilometers.
In Europe, the series of Andros Trophy ice racing will be on the side of Lans-en-Vercors, a track 800 meters to 1420 meters tracee altitude, south-east of Lyon (France). The opportunity of a new battle between Alain Prost and Daccia Skoda drivers, among them Jacques Villeneuve is hoped that a first podium in the discipline.
This weekend will also see the entry into track cars of NASCAR Sprint Cup for three official days of testing pre-season tri-oval of Daytona. The opportunity for all pilots to resume contact with the competition after a break of seven weeks.
