"Petit Le Mans" this weekend!
Another busy weekend in the world of international motorsport present. With, first of all in Europe, the penultimate round of the 2011 DTM series or German Martin Tomczyk (Audi) could be as a result of the race presented in Valencia in Spain, if the Bruno Spengler (Mercedes) finished behind him. Only these two drivers are still in contention for the league title in 2011, although the Swedish Mattias Ekstrom (Audi) is mathematically still some hope too.
For passionate motorsport, one of the major events of the season will be scheduled for the Endurance Road Atlanta (Georgia) with the presentation of the "Petit Le Mans". It is a race of 1,000,000, or 9 hours maximum, pitting prototypes and GT of the American Le Mans Series (final stage of the season) and the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, a championship that prefigure the Future World Endurance Championship which will be launched next year and compete or manufacturers Audi, Peugeot and Aston Martin in class prototypes, BMW, Ferrari, Porsche, Corvette and Jaguar GT.
In NASCAR Sprint Cup will be in Dover (Delaware) while the Camping World Trucks occur in Sparta (Kentucky), and will also place an IndyCar race.
Finally rally World Championship (WRC) will be in France this weekend for the Rallye d'Alsace, the eleventh of thirteen rounds of the 2011 calendar.
