The Cadillac brand is now one of the top 10 vehicles industry for initial quality (9th place overall ranking), while its Escalade model took first place in the category of crossover utility vehicles upscale the United States according to the 2011 study on the initial quality of the JD Power and Associates. The Escalade offers the best performance and the classification of its cap category in North America for the second consecutive year.
"The leadership of the Escalade in its market segment testifies to the commitment of Cadillac to its clientele," stated Don Butler, vice president, marketing, Cadillac. "Our focus now is to continue to improve the quality of our brand vehicles in all categories and we are in competition with the competition."
The study on the initial quality of 2011 is based on information collected from more than 73,000 owners and lessees of new 2011 american at least 90 days after the purchase of their vehicle. The study includes a 228 point questionnaire developed to provide manufacturers with the necessary information to quickly identify problems and improve the quality of vehicles.
The Cadillac brand is constantly gaining ground in the market, as evidenced by the steady increase in annual retail sales in North America during the last 16 consecutive months. Cadillac growth based on strong demand for its high-end models Escalade SUV, the range luxury car model CTS and SRX crossover.
