Mazda announced that its new compact SUV will baptize Mazda CX-5
Mazda first model of a new generation SKYACTIV technologies and involve the KODO design
Mazda Motor Corporation today announced that its new compact SUV will baptize Mazda CX-5. This vehicle is derived from the concept Mazda MINAGI present at Geneva Motor Show in March and very soon the New York Motor Show which opens on April 20.
The CX-5 is the first model of a series integrate the new Mazda design language baptizes 'KODO or the soul of the movement', discovered in avant-premiere of the Mazda SHINARI the last year concept and the range of technologies composed of the revolutionary SKYACTIV engine brand, transmissions, bodies and chassis new generation. The CX-5 will integrate the international range of Mazda in 2012.
"CX" refers to the family of Mazda crossover SUV which also consists of the CX-7 and CX-9. Logically, the CX-5 aims to be the most compact model in this range.
The Mazda CX-5 will debut on the international stage at the Frankfurt Motor Show to be held in Germany in September 2011.
