The Oshawa assembly plant celebrated the start of regular production of the highly anticipated 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible in a ceremony attended by the employees and guests.
"That is another chapter in the long racing life of popular Chevrolet Camaro, has said Kevin Williams, president and general director of GM of Canada. The launch of the new convertible will have a new taste of enthusiastic clientele design and performance Camaro, by demonstrating all the major qualities of the plant's award-winning Oshawa assembly. Chevrolet Camaro Convertible is the second of three vehicles lances Oshawa since last September, and two new shifts have been added to support this surplus production.

The employees joined a Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports, to celebrate this turning point. Hendrick, a passionate Camaro, which has purchased the first Camaro Cup 2010 have left the assembly line, has also purchased the first Camaro convertible at auction. In both cases, Rick Hendrick acquired the purchase rights at a Barrett-Jackson auction, with all funds raised are paid to local charity organizations.

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible displays an MSRP of $ 33,995 and will be at Chevrolet dealers across the country beginning in February.
