Delivered 8.39 million GM vehicles on a global scale in 2010
• Shipments up 12.2% compared to 2009
• China and the United States each exceed the mark of 2 million sales
General Motors today it has announced Book 8 389 769 vehicles worldwide in 2010, an increase of 12.2% compared to shipments of 7,477,178 units in 2009.
GM has recorded double-digit increases in five of its top ten markets, including an increase of 28.8% in China, where GM and its partners were the first to reach the mark of 2 million vehicles sales in one year and an increase of 41.3% in Uzbekistan is now the tenth largest market for GM volume.
Deliveries to the United States, the second largest market for GM, have climbed 6.3% in spite of the gradual abandonment or sale of four brands, while deliveries in Brazil, the third largest market for GM, grew by 10.4%.
