BMW Serie1 1 million cars produced

The Bavarian manufacturer BMW announced that it has exceed the million copies of his model of Serie1 in just five years. This announcement comes just be made under the Motor Show in Leipzig, Germany.

At its debut in September 2004, it is found that the five-door hatchback model, followed a few months later by three-door hatchback version. In January 2008, the declinations were presented cabriolet cut and design make them cross the Atlantic.

Until now, the BMW serie1 were produced in factories in Leipzig and Regensburg. But starting next year, the Leipzig plant forsake the production of Series 1 to focus on the Active-E models and Megacity.
