For a second consecutive year The Universite Laval is crowned champion of the North American economy gasoline.
A team of students from the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University Laval wins this weekend the fifth edition of the Shell Eco-marathon Americas, a North American competition to design vehicles with low consumption essence. This is a second consecutive victory for the team from Laval University in this prestigious competition that brings together many of the best schools of engineering of the continent.
The vehicle of the students of the University Laval has realized outstanding performance of 1058 km per liter which allowed him to outperform by more than 200 km / l its closest competitors. A total of 42 teams from the United States and Canada competed on a street circuit designed specially for the event in downtown Houston.
