Chrysler wants to separate 789 dealers
The American automaker Chrysler informs a bankruptcy court of its intention to separate its 789 dealers (about a quarter of them) in the United States as part of its proposed structure.
The group has about 3,200 dealers, a number that Chrysler considers too high. The company wishes to have a network of dealers stronger, more profitable and better equips facilities.
A spokesman for the manufacturer, Kathy Graham, stated Thursday that Chrysler dealers warn his decision before any public comment.
Measurement, against which the dealers will probably right to appeal, could have a devastating impact, particularly in terms of employment in several American cities.
