GM Canada will reduce by 42% the number of its dealers
General Motors of Canada confirmed Wednesday morning that it will reduce the number of its dealers across the country by about 42 percent.
In a press release, the company at the request of federal government and the Ontario explains that she has decided to accelerate its restructuring and to submit a recovery plan _ including a reduction of its network of dealers _ stronger than it had submitted on 27 April.
The manufacturer has specified that its dealers will be informed of the details in the day _ whose names retail keys _ this measure to rationalize its network.
GM has said it intends to realize this rationalization primarily in its urban markets to maintain a viable network throughout the country. General Motors of Canada estimates that by the end of the process, its network of dealers will be more competitive with higher volumes.
