Lexus LS 460 2009 will be proposed with integral traction
Lexus has announced the addition of AWD models (AWD) has its range of luxury sedans flagship LS 460 and LS 460 L (a long wheelbase). The Lexus LS series redefines the concept of luxury sedan with a vehicle that epitomizes the vision of contemporary luxury Lexus. The 2009 model expands the range of AWD vehicles from Lexus. The LS 460 is thus the fourth luxury sedan with AWD, after the IS 250, GS 350 and LS 600h L.
The AWD models of the LS 460 and LS 460 L utilize a drivetrain almost identical to that of the LS 600h L hybrid. The AWD system is provided with a central Torsen differential (R) slip boundary highly compact replied the drive torque between the front and rear wheels. Under normal driving conditions, the torque distribution favors the rear wheels due to 60:40, but it can instantly change the front and rear and optimal manner between 30:70 and 50:50 depending of the evolution of driving conditions.
