Honda Canada has surpassed the 3 million cars sold in Canada
Honda Canada Inc. today celebrated the sale of its three millionth detail car in Canada. This year also marks the 35th anniversary of selling cars and trucks in Canada by Honda and its luxury car division, Acura. These two important events testify the active role played by Honda Canada.
"Honda crossed a milestone in its activities in Canada," stated Jim Miller, vice-president of Honda Canada Inc. "We started selling cars in 1973 and then we had a few dealers. This year- the, we had sold only 747 Honda Civic. Today, our 215 dealers and 48 Honda Acura dealers sell each year over 170,000 cars and trucks in Canada.
"We have hard to believe that we have reached this stage in such a short time. We want to thank the three million Canadians who buy our cars and trucks for their support and confidence in our products." At the end of the 2007 calendar year, Honda Canada has taken another important step, the Honda Civic has been designated the most sold in Canada for the 10th consecutive year car.
Leveraging its commitment to be a company that Canadians value and its status as the fourth largest private company in the country, Honda plays an active role in Canadian communities:
It sells cars, trucks, motorcycles and marine equipment mechanics and who embody Honda Benefice, that is to say which are ecological, safe and pleasant to drive.
It produces 390,000 vehicles per year at its two plants in Alliston Honda, Ontario. A third factory open later this year, which will produce 200,000 engines per year and will buy more than two billion worth of goods from Canadian suppliers.
