Subaru recalls 200,000 Legacy and Outback

METHOD Subaru Canada and the United States has a major recall of approximately 200,000 vehicles of the models Legacy and Outback AWD that could be afflicted with a brake problem.

The American authorities from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that the brake fluid lines of vehicles from year 2005 to 2009 may be affected by rust. They may therefore perforation can cause fluid leakage, which can significantly affect the braking by increasing its distance.

The vehicles referred have been sold mainly in the regions of North America or abrasives repandus in winter to reduce the risk of skidding on the floor.

It is unclear whether the problem was a cause accidents. Subaru is committed to examining each vehicle and replace the lines as needed.

Among the vehicles to be recalled, more than 25,700 were sold in Canada.
