GM recalls 34,000 vehicles brand Buick and Cadillac
General Motors recalled Wednesday nearly 34,000 vehicles Buick and Cadillac brand in the United States, Canada and around the world due to a problem with automatic transmission.
The recall involves Buick LaCrosse cars and commercial vehicles Cadillac SRX Crossover sports of the year 2013.
The company explains that the transmission can go in unexpected way sport mode because of a software problem.
However, GM says no accidents linked to this problem has been reported.
The automaker is committed to reprogram the transmission free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on March 28.
Buick brand cars were built between April 25, 2012 and March 6, 2013, while Cadillac SUVs were manufactured from 29 May 2012 to 18 February 2013.
Most of these vehicles, or 27,000, were sold in the United States; 1300 others were distributed in Canada. The rest of the book was in Mexico and other parts of the world, according to GM.
