Rear Axles: recall 278,000 vehicles Chrysler
Chrysler is recalling 278,000 trucks and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) due to a rear axle problem that can undergo a crash without warning.
The recall affects several versions of the Ram 1500 trucks for years 2009, 2012, meme as vans Dodge Dakota 2009 year of 2011.
SUVs Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango the year 2009 are also included in the recall.
According to the American authorities of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a nut on the axle of the vehicle may loosen due to the absence of an adhesive plate. The fall of the nut can cause successively axle locking and loss of control of the vehicle by the driver.
The next month, Chrysler technicians install on these trucks and SUVs restraint allowing the nut has to remain fixed.
This is the second recall which Chrysler method for an identical problem. Last October, 44,000 vans had the repair.
