Ford recalls 144,000 F-150 trucks in America
The best-selling truck in North America is in turn subject to a recall for a problem connecting to the driver side airbag could deploy without warning.
Here we talk about trucks years 2005 and 2006 assembled at the factory in Norfolk. Rounding the figures, it is estimated that 135,000 are trucks that are recalled in the United States and 9,000 in Canada.
NHTSA wants more
However, the American Road Safety Agency (NHTSA) found that only recall 144,000 vehicles does not correspond to reality, if the danger posed by the unintentional activation of an airbag, especially when it comes to the driver.
According to NHTSA, Ford should recall no less than 1.3 million units of its F-150. The American organization is currently considering whether to see the Ford Motor Company recall only 144,000 trucks.
The owners of the vehicles concerned by this recall will soon be notified and especially invited to visit their dealership to proceed to repair the airbag or a replacement free of charge.
