Chevrolet increases its global scope
The continued growth of the brand in emerging markets is the key of total sales of 9.2 million vehicles GM.
Chevrolet, the fastest growing in the world, has sold more than 4.95 million vehicles in 2012, it established record sales on a global scale and propelling worldwide sales of General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) has more than 9.2 million vehicles, up 2.9 percent compared to 2011.
Although the United States is the single most important step for Chevrolet with total sales of 1.85 million vehicles, more than 60 percent of brand sales from other markets, including Brazil (643,000) , China (627,000), Russia (205,000), the South Korea (125,000) and India (92,000). These countries have experienced interesting sales due to the launch of new models.
"Chevrolet is located in the heart of launching new most dynamic products in its history," stated Marc Comeau, vice-president of sales, after-sales service and marketing for GM of Canada.
Guided by a new global vision, "Finding new ways," rooted in the heritage of ingenuity brand, Chevrolet is preparing to continue its growth in 2013 thanks to the Canadian launch of 13 new products or largely reworked, including the all new Trax, Corvette Stingray, Silverado and Impala, then 12 additional product launches on a global scale.
Chevrolet establishes its global presence by producing small cars like the Cruze models, Sonic / Aveo and Spark, the intermediaries such as Malibu and crossovers and trucks like the models Spin, Trax, Orlando and Colorado, designed according to road conditions and preferences varied global scale.
The compact Cruze sedan leads Grace brand has global sales of more than 755,000 cars in 2012, making it the best-selling Chevrolet family in the world with nearly 1.9 million sales since its launch in 2009. At Canada, Chevrolet Cruze launch a diesel model in 2013.

At the scale of the company, GM's sales in North America were up 3.2 per cent and 10.1 per cent in the framework of international activities, compared to 2011.
