Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) has recorded a total sales of 192,058 vehicles in 2012, an increase of 18.4% over 2011.

Highlights, note a record truck sales (up 11.0%), an increase of 167.2% of hybrid sales and a 22.5% increase in sales of Scion vehicles. Lexus has also recorded the second best year in its history, with a 13.0% increase in sales.

Highlights of Toyota sales for December 2012 (compared to 2011)

Toyota sales: 10578 :: 171 174 for the year (up 18.7%)

Sales of passenger cars Toyota: 5131 :: 93 514 for the year (up 25.5%)

Sales of Yaris Hatchback: 413 :: 8440 for the year (up 76.4%)

Sales Tundra 4X4: 520 :: 7025 for the year (up 8.7%)

Sales Highlander: 487 :: 5735 for the year (up 21.1%)

Sales 4Runner: 250 :: 2878 for the year (up 11.6%)

Sienna sales: 779 :: 11 858 for the year (up 9.4%)
