Mazda will produce a car for Toyota
Mazda will open in 2015, its first plant in Mexico, which is destined to produce the next generation of popular Mazda3 and Mazda2 subcompact.
However, we just learned that this plant will also produce a version for Toyota, the next Mazda2.
Of cars for the North American markets: United States, Canada and Mexico.
History repeats itself
This is a little story that is repeated, except that changes secondary actor. The current Mazda2 which served as the basis for development of the Ford Fiesta, will become the platform used, with the design of a new model sub-compact Toyota.
For the first year, the new production plant in Mexico, should be around 50,000 copies; while its maximum capacity is announced at 140,000 units.
