2012 Cup season alternative energies sanctioned by the FIA started yesterday (March 22) with the rally "green" the oldest and most prestigious in the world, the Monte Carlo Rally of new energies, and Toyota Canada Inc. puts a hood track championship in the category of hybrid-electric vehicles.

Organized by the Automobile Club de Monaco, the Monte Carlo Rally of new energies has been run each year since 2000.
