Tesla Model X: soon a trio of electric vehicles

After the roadster and its S sedan, Tesla just unveil the Model X in its design studios in California.

A crossover type vehicle designed on the basis of which was like the other models of the firm, will be propelled by a fully electric drive Model S sedan.

In 2010, Tesla had unveiled its concept EYE Salon Auto Geneve, announcing the intentions of the manufacturer to provide possibly an SUV. Fortunately, the model that is presented here has no aesthetic kinship with the concept.

Tesla Model X

Its silhouette is that of a cut five RAISED portieres. Lines its flag are most elegant and most importantly slimmer than are those of the BMW X6, the "King" of the niche development.

The main feature is its aesthetic rear door has two sections such as "Falcon Wings" which open the vertical.

With a length of 4976 mm, we are talking about a template that is between that of the BMW X5/X6 and Audi Q7.

Up to seven seats

The engineers have planned three rows of seats, allowing seven passengers to install.

Finishing, presentation and recoveries will be worthy of a very luxurious vehicle.

To this is added a dashboard that will host a touchscreen.

There are two loading spaces, one conventional and the other spot at the front.

Always zero emission

In the example of the Tesla Model S sedan, the Model X CUV will be driven by two types of electric motors:

60kWh of: autonomy of 233 km for the version propulsion

85kWh of: autonomy of 435 km for the AWD version

The manufacturer announced accelerations from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds.

The sale of the Tesla Model X is scheduled for 2013.
