Will there be a Bahrain Grand Prix in 2012?
According to the schedule of the next Formula 1 season, the Bahrain Grand Prix will return in 2012 with a program ordeal for 22 April, the fourth Grand Prix of the season.
But despite this re-listed schedule and optimistic messages of Bernie Ecclestone, the tensions that took place last spring and forced the cancellation of the opening round of the 2011 season are not completely allayed Bahrain. So much so that many people in the field of Formula 1 is not hesitant to say that it is out of the question that they return to the little kingdom in 2012, especially since the explosion of a bomb in the capital Manama earlier this week, next to the British Embassy, demonstrated that several protest movements, demanding democracy for some, for others a greater presence in their community in the political life of the country are still very active.
Suppress demonstrations by police batons and tanks of the army has never soothes a people in revolt, Bahrain is a dangerous area at this time, less than six months from the date of the Grand Prix. This observation is taken seriously by members of the F1 teams who fear many find themselves in the middle of a bloodbath than see the insurance companies refuse to cover their personnel and equipment by visiting a country considered today risk.
